SOS Children's Villages USA ("SOS-USA") is the United States philanthropic affiliate of a large worldwide Federation, SOS Children's Villages International. A public charity, SOS-USA draws revenue from sponsors of children and villages, sustainers, major donors, foundations, and corporations, across direct mail, digital and direct cultivation.

The Opportunity:

The Advertising Analyst will work closely with the Marketing team to navigate the complex world of modern digital advertising and marketing. We'll look to you to envision, execute and refine our integrated digital strategy. This is a high growth, high visibility area with plenty of opportunities to enhance your skillset and build your career. This position will report to the Associate Director of Digital Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

There is no such thing as a typical day. You will support multiple teams internally and support business development activities on strategic and federation priorities. You will be a digital advertising solution owner and subject matter resource. You are proficient in creating, implementing, managing and reporting on all paid media strategies.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to understand how digital strategies fit into the broader Marketing picture
  • Solution-oriented and a growth-mindset - someone who challenges long-held assumptions about how things have always been done
  • Ability to execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and create insights in order to achieve maximum ROI and ROA in paid media campaigns
  • Tracks, reports and analyzes paid media initiatives and campaigns across the customer journey
  • Remains current on digital and marketing technology trends
  • Knack for gathering business requirements, asking the right questions and understanding how that information fits in with the organization's needs
  • Experience conducting paid media assessments and developing roadmaps to help achieve marketing objectives
  • Experience running Google Ads and maintaining a Google Grant
  • Experience in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to implement and analyze tracking for ads
  • An aptitude for leadership and mentoring colleagues
  • Willingness to help on other projects, such as SEO and updating the website
  • Commit to aspire for and maintain, report, and respond to the required conduct of the Child Protection Policy of SOS International. (Safeguarding children - SOS Children's Villages International (sos-childrensvillages.org))

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in mathematics, information systems, statistics, marketing, business or related disciplines
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, with a heavy focus in digital advertising
  • Experience in SEM, display advertising and social marketing leading practices and deep understanding of industry performance standards
  • Experience with A/B testing of ads, bids, landing pages and keywords
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to use data to measure campaign performance and optimize for ROI and KPIs
  • In-depth experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Capable of delivering contextual, thoughtfully presented data visualizations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to explain technical concepts to a functional audience
  • Proven track record of creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ability to accurately track and report on KPIs, ensuring that critical activities are carried out at targeted volume in order to deliver expected results
  • Strong ability to understand questions and develop and deliver clear insights
  • Ability to clearly articulate the organization's core mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Demonstrated advanced Excel, Google Analytics or Power BI experience
  • Google Ads and Bing Ads certifications
  • Experience with SEO optimizations
  • Graphic design skills in PhotoShop or Canva
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities and meet demanding deadlines within a fast-paced, collaborative environment - without sacrificing quality
  • Experience with CRM database
  • Passion for the work of SOS Children's Villages and the vital role we play in empowering children, youth, families and entire communities

This position can be based in Washington, DC or remote within the US.
