SOS Children's Villages USA is seeking an intern to support both the Marketing and Individual Giving teams. The Marketing team manages SOS Children's Villages USA's social media accounts, website, PSA and media campaigns, paid ads, and digital communications (including email marketing). The Individual Giving team works to build awareness of, and raise funds for, the SOS Children's Villages global mission.

Tasks/Projects

The Digital Marketing and Fundraising Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with both the Marketing and Individual Giving teams, enabling the candidate to gain first-hand marketing and development experience at an international NGO. Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Marketing: providing content and design support to update the SOS Children's Villages USA website; researching and writing content for digital communications; creating content and design for organizational social media accounts; providing video and photo editing for digital communications, website, social media, and other campaigns; and providing digital support for fundraising campaigns. Other tasks as assigned.

- Individual Giving: drafting donor stewardship materials, conducting research, preparing donor reports, and providing regular administrative support in managing donor information in internal databases. Other tasks as assigned.

Skills

Excellent writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills are required. WordPress/CMS/web development skills are highly desired. Photoshop/InDesign/Canva skills, an interest in fundraising, experience with social media in a professional setting, HTML programming, and video editing skills are a plus.

  • This is an unpaid internship, though subsidized Metro benefits are available in the event of staff return to the office.
  • Due to COVID-19, it is expected that this position will be fully remote for the duration of the internship. We therefore encourage individuals in any U.S. location to apply.
  • We offer a flexible schedule with a preferred maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Credit hours can be provided if applicable.
  • The internship will run from approximately February - May 2022, with the possibility of extension.
