Title:  Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships & Workplace Giving 

Department: Corporate Partnerships 

Reports To: Director, Corporate Partnerships  

Status: Exempt  

Position Summary:  

The Account Manager is responsible for a portfolio of workplace giving partners (~20) and supporting key accounts held by the Corporate Partnerships team.  In this front-line fundraising role, the Account Manager will oversee the Workplace Giving Program with responsibility for developing strategies to grow revenue among existing and new corporate partners by 75%. The Account Manager also supports the leadership on the Corporate Partnerships team and will be responsible for day-to-day account deliverables such as drafting partnership reports, preparing grant submissions, acknowledgements, coordinating volunteer events and financial reporting.  

This position is a great opportunity for a self-starter looking to assume ownership of his/her own portfolio of accounts, gain experience in various corporate fundraising approaches, support grant writing, and partner with senior team members on executing robust, global, private sector partnerships.  Account Management  

  • Supports various members of the corporate team with key deliverables for flagship 6-figure accounts.   
  • Participates in donor calls and handles day-to-day account deliverables including managing project trackers, developing impact reports, conducting asset collection, drafting partnership updates, etc.  
  • Prepares highly polished proposals, project reports, and prospect decks to steward and re-solicit donors.   
  • Oversees and maintains team operations  acknowledgements,  financial reporting, team files, giving reports, calendars, notes, etc.  
  • Ensures preparation and submission of timely reports.

 Workplace (WPG) Giving & Employee Engagement Program  

  • Develops and manages a portfolio of ~20+ WPG partners, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major corporate and WPG prospects with an FY17 fundraising goal of $300K.  
  • Develops the strategy for the WPG and Employee Engagement Program; Define strategies for increasing WPG revenue through  third parties including CFC, Benevity, United Way, and other workplace giving events. 
  • Maintains a robust suite of WPG tools and resources to engage new and existing corporate donors.   
  • Works closely with Marketing/Communications and Major Gifts teams to promote partnership opportunities and integrate WPG tools across all donor materials/touches.
  • Oversees the acknowledgment process for workplace giving and corporate gifts as well as monthly financial reports.   
  • Oversees donation pages for SOS-USA's new
  • Works in close coordination with SOS program staff in FL and IL to ensure volunteer and engagement offerings are robust, updated, and successfully executed.   
  • Represents SOS-USA at corporate employee engagement/volunteer events.  

 Other Responsibilities  

  • Assists in the development of corporate branded resources, content, and visual presentations for corporate proposals and engagement.  
  • Serves as the POC to manage the inventory of the Corporate department's promotional materials.  
  • Ensures confidentiality of departmental information. 
  • Undertakes special projects and assignments as assigned. 


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Three to five years of professional work experience; previous account management experience in PR, sales, or non-profit sector preferred. 
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills, impeccable attention to detail and ability to manage a diverse range of assignments with high efficiency and confidentiality. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and writing skills; a keen eye for design and creativity.   
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, organizations, and people. 
  • Experience with online prospecting resources, web-based research skills, and comfortable working with social media networks (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.). 
  • Experience with cold outreach, sales, and partnership development; Excellent customer service skills and follow-up. 
  • A collaborative and professional team spirit; Personable, friendly, and outgoing attitude. 
  • Knowledge of CRM Software Revolution Online (ROI), Sharepoint, Rallybound, or HEPData, a plus.
  • Strong affinity to the cause and mission of SOS Children's Villages.
