Position Summary:

The Data Coordinator will support all database activity including: gift processing, gift acknowledgment, donor/prospect relationship management, research, and stewardship. The Data Coordinator will uphold best practices in areas of donor relations, gift management, stewardship, and data management. Additionally, the Data Coordinator will support data analysis to understand donor behavior and ensure overall success of the annual giving and major gift functions, as well as provide the necessary maintenance to ensure the overall health of the database.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Support data integrity and facilitate the transfer of data through all systems, including SOS-USA's database of record/CRM, Revolution Online (ROI), and digital system Engaging Networks.
  • Establish and manage timely communications and information tracking processes for all donor and transaction data. Assist with the development and maintenance of coding system for donor and gift information in database.
  • Process incoming Engaging Networks requests, including donations, P2P sign-ups, non-transactional interactions, and pledges, as needed.
  • Oversee daily data entry of biographical and gift information by SOS staff and vendors.
  • Process, print, and mail acknowledgment letters.
  • Perform database maintenance and hygiene tasks in regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Work with staff to maintain, and produce reporting and analysis documents for each fundraising function.
  • Resolve donor relations problems both directly and by working with the appropriate and assigned staff.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to be used by the Data team as well as for reference for all SOS-USA staff.
  • Help train staff to utilize properly ROI application and modules.
  • Support data imports and exports from multiple sources in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1-2 years progressively responsible work experience, including internships, with focus within non-profits, fundraising, development, or CRM.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications required.
  • Knowledge of Revolution Online (ROI), Engaging Networks, and/or Vantiv a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to identify and translate data trends into valuable analysis or troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Strong project management and time management skills required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
