SOS Children's Villages USA is seeking an Intern to support the Major Gifts Officer and Individual Giving team-enabling the candidate to gain first-hand fundraising and donor research and prospecting experience at an international NGO. The Individual Giving team works to build awareness of, and raise funds for, the SOS Children's Villages global mission.
Tasks/Projects
The Major Gifts Intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with the Individual Giving teams, including but not limited to drafting donor stewardship materials, conducting research, creating donor profiles, preparing donor reports, and providing regular administrative support in managing donor information in internal databases.
Skills
Excellent writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills are required. WordPress/CMS/web development skills are highly desired. Photoshop/InDesign/Canva skills, and an interest in fundraising are a plus.
- This is an unpaid, fully remote internship, that provides valuable experience with an international NGO that helps children around the world.
- We encourage individuals in any U.S. location to apply as this is a fully remote internship.
- We offer a flexible schedule with a preferred maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Credit hours can be provided if applicable.
- The internship will run from approximately September-December 2023, with the possibility of extension.
