Senior Grant Writer Job Description:

SOS Children's Villages USA ("SOS USA") is the United States philanthropic affiliate of a large worldwide Federation, SOS Children's Villages International. A public charity, SOS USA draws revenue from sponsors of children and villages, sustainers, major donors, foundations, and corporations, across direct mail, digital and direct cultivation.

SOS Children's Villages is the world's largest organizations dedicated to the care of children without parental care and families at risk of separation. We operate in 138 countries and territories, and our comprehensive approach - strengthening families and communities, providing long-term care for children, educating, and empowering youth, and advocating for children's rights - transforms the lives of millions of children and families each year. And when humanitarian crises strike, we provide affected children and families with the supplies and support they need.

Together, we build trust and relevance with key audiences to position the organization's efforts for long-term successful fundraising, collaboration, growth and influence.

Specifically, your role focuses on prospecting and writing compelling concepts and proposals reflecting innovative programs and initiatives. Our goal is to secure multi-million dollar, multi-year foundation and corporate revenue to advance the mission of providing a loving home for every child worldwide. Your responsibility will be to identify and introduce new funding opportunities and develop winning proposal submissions in collaboration with country offices. You will be the voice of SOS USA's institutional donors and ensure that their funds for SOS programs are being monitored, evaluated, and executed per scope and investment.
